Ashley Strong- (Mr. Mc GREw) During drivers ed she volunteered multiple times to drive with a student who had lost their driving partner. AmeriCorps National Civilian Community Corps (NCCC) members from Oak 6 have been helping the Louisa County Conservation Board in Wapello, IA with a variety of different services until May 13. Some of the services benefit the county’s public school by educating the kids in environmental education such as Water Safety, Toad & Frogs and Bird Adaptations.

Covenant Medical Center Auxiliary Announces Scholarship Winners
Scholarships to be awarded to five area students
The Covenant Medical Center Auxiliary has announced the recipients of their 2011-2012 scholarship program. Recognition will be given at the Auxiliary’s Annual Luncheon on Friday, May 6, and the scholarship will be paid directly to the institution where the students will be enrolled full-time this fall.
